growing disciples

D-Groups stand for Discipleship groups. They are a great place for you to learn, grow and develop as a Christian.

S.P.A.M.:

One of the first ones we started was in Raffles: We just stood outside St. Barnabas church and handed out hot chocolate and kicked a football around.

We now have two weekly groups that meet in St. Barnabas on Tuesdays:

  • 11-14s @ 6:30-8pm
  • 15-18s @ 8-9pm

We also work with St. James' church Monday night group Ignite (Mondays 6:00 - 8pm - see separate page below)

We are very excited to, for the very first time, put on a two-day activity and fun day during the Easter break. Monday and Tuesday (April 10-11) from 1:30-4:30 we are arranging a lot of fun! Activity groups, group games, chill out zone etc will all be on offer!

Activity groups:

The young people need to choose to be part of one of the following groups for both days:

Football (at the MUGGA)

Arts & Crafts

Band

Movie/film making

Norwegian youth leaders

We have an amazing group you older teenagers from a partner church in Norway coming over to help us with the days. They will lead the activity groups, play a mini-concert or two, and generally just be around to have a fab time with your son/daughter.

Ignite @ St. James

Mondays 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Every Monday night starting at 6pm there's a great youth club on in the St. James Parish Centre (in Denton Holme).

If you're curious about God, Jesus and Christianity we have the perfect thing for you! Starting at 6pm we will go through the Youth Alpha Course. This stuff is awesome; we will together ask (and hopefully answer!) some of the biggest questions in life.

"Who is Jesus?", "What's the deal with the Bible?", "What's faith and how do we have one?" and other's like it. We'll even serve you a meal!

After Youth Alpha:

Years 6-8: 6:30-7:30pm - lots of fun and games and hanging out with your mates.

Years 8+: 7:30-8:30pm - lots of fun and games and hanging out with your mates.
